2012Last year's Sprite Uncontainable Hip Hop talent search proved just how packed Mzansi is with talent. At various Mobile Audition Studios and Rooftop Experiences, hopeful Hip Hop performers had to show us that they could really bring it.

But ultimately, there could only be one crew that would head off to NYC: Hydrochloric (HCL) in the emcee category, Stops (aka Dane) in the graffiti category and Sham Rock in the dance category.

2012 Mobile Audition Studios

We took the search for Hip Hop talent across SA, with over 1 700 artists battling it out for the top spot, and refreshing over 75 000 fans along the way.
2012 Rooftop Experiences

The top 18 contestants who made it through to the second round had to prove their worth at Rooftop Experiences in Durban, JHB and Cape Town in front of a live audience and the esteemed panel of judges.
2012 Talib Kweli

Sprite stepped it up by bringing in a mentor who's seen and done it all… We teamed up with none other than one half of Black Star, the lyrical genius himself, Talib Kweli.
2012 Winners

The final crew was dancer Sham Rock, emcee Hydrochloric and graffiti artist Stops (aka Dane), who got to hang out with Talib Kweli in the home of Hip Hop, NYC.
